This Diploma programme is part of the African Higher Education in Emergencies (AHEEN) network launched in 2020. Since January 2020, the University of Nairobi is a leading part of a network of other African universities in the Horn of Africa that are each designing a program in education in emergencies. The network currently has four (4) universities as members; the University of Nairobi, Moi University, University of Juba, and Somali National University.
