UoN Lecturers and  Staff undergo PhD Supervision Training by CARTA

Staff members of the University of Nairobi, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Business and Management Science (Group Two) participated in a PhD supervisors workshop, that took place between 25th-27th February 2025 at the University Towers. The event brought together faculty members, supervisors, and key academic leaders to discuss best practices in PhD supervision, mentorship, and research excellence. This workshop is the second in a series of faculty-based PhD supervision enhancement initiatives organized by the University with support from CARTA.

Introduction to Certificate in Sports Coaching.

The University of Nairobi’s Faculty of Education has partnered with the National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOCK) to introduce a Certificate in Sports Coaching. This innovative program is designed to equip sports coaches and teachers with advanced knowledge and skills in the science of sports, focusing on how the human body functions and responds to physical activity. The course is specifically tailored for coaches working under sports federations affiliated with NOCK, as well as educators who are passionate about sports and athletic development.

University Staff Awards Ceremony

It was a joyful occasion at UoN’s manu chandaria auditorium on Monday morning during the University’s Staff Recognition Awards. The University Community gathered to recognize and award its outstanding staff and departments in terms of performance contracting, research and Innovation, long service, staff performance and special recognition awards.
