Prize Presentation Ceremony 2021

The University of Nairobi held the 2nd prize presentation ceremony on Friday, 7th May 2021. The Prize presentation ceremony is an important tradition at the University aimed at recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance by our students. This year’s event recognized the overall best students in 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 cohorts.

In keeping with this year’s theme, “Celebrating Academic Excellence” about 448 students were awarded prizes that will include cash tokens and Certificate of recognition. The Vice Chancellor Prof. Stephen Kiama welcomed the audience stating “We hold today’s University of Nairobi Prize Presentation Ceremony with great pride because the achievements of our students are central to our academic mission.  The Prize Presentation signifies our commitment to the people reforms!” The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Julius Ogeng’o echoed the message of the Vice Chancellor  saying that “prize giving is consistent with the philosophy of UoN and our Reform Agenda 2020 in regard to people, in this case the students.’ Read more
