The University of Nairobi suspended Face–to-face learning on March 16th 2020 following a presidential directive to close all learning institutions to contain the spread of Corona Virus. University of Nairobi, Office of Career Services held a career counselling training session with College student leaders to enable students and graduates recognize and understand themselves and the job market so as to come to a resolve on career, life and educational choices.
Over 5000 scholarships are now available to outstanding students and scholars from Africa annually. These fully sponsored scholarships include short courses, undergraduate, postgraduate and PhDs that are funded by the Turkish government and coordinated by a government agency YTB.
College of Education and external studies students taking Geography are en route to Kericho, Kisumu and Kakamega for a Geographical field study of the lake basin led by Dr. Shadrach kithiia and Mr. John WakaJummah. The field trip is part of requirement for students’ pursuing bachelors’ of Education Arts at the school of Education.
The college of Education and External Studies management organized a two days training workshop for UNSA and UNESA student leaders on leadership role. This platform gave an opportunity for the elected leaders to engage and discuss student’s affairs at the Campus. The workshop which was held at Panorama Lodge Naivasha Lodge saw 24 elected leaders at the college attend the training.
