Virtual Open Day 2021 Program of Activities

The University of Nairobi welcomes you to the 10th edition of the Open Day. This is an important annual event where the opens up avenues for potential students, partners and the general public to have a deeper understanding and appreciation of the leading University in the country.  This year; the University will hold a virtual Open Day on the Thursday 18th February and Friday, 19th February 2021.  A series of activities – in keeping with the Theme “Skills and Competencies for emerging trends”- have been lined up to ensure participants have an enriching experience.

To ensure participants experience different aspects of the University; a special Open Day website has been created. Click HERE to view the website.  The website has introductory videos by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama HERE highlighting the University’s outstanding track record in teaching, research and community service. In addition there is a Video by Deputy Vice Chancellor- Academic Affairs Prof. Julius Ogengo HERE. Prof. Ogengo discusses the wide range of academic programs offered at the university and how the courses address all emerging trends. The University offers courses for different people at different levels from Certificate to Doctoral Degrees. The website also has various exhibition Booths to showcase academic programmes offered by various schools, student life & mentorship and also accommodation options for students. The University has also partnered with various industry leaders to give career talks/ webinars on key topics. Click HERE for the series of webinars.
