The University of Nairobi is planning the the 8th edition of Nairobi Innovation Week. The NIW 2024 will take place on May 8-10, 2024. This years' event is themed, ' Strengthening the Innovation Ecosystem in Higher Education institutions through the Government-Academia-Industry-Community linkages for Sustainable Development.'
The event will include a three day hackathon as part of activities. This will give students an opportunity to showcase their creativity and innovativeness. Participants can work alone or in a team.
We have experienced facilitators, mentors, trainers and code reviewers to assist in the innovation journey
Teams will be expected to think of an idea, design, and develop solutions. They shall also explore business and revenue dimensions leading to prototypes or products and services.
The teams shall pitch before judges and there are plans to link the top three teams with an incubator. Apart from the top three teams, the others shall compete at the faculty level. This shall run from Tuesday (May 16) at 8:am at the UoN Towers,4th floor, rm 405 ending with the final pitching on Thursday afternoon. Those that have registered, report to rm 405 at exactly 8:00 am. Admission to the competition is on a first come, first served basis.
